We get so busy in our routine that we hardly stop and reflect on how we have lived. Then, on one of those nights, when we can no longer evade the train of thoughts, all the emotions rush in. Every choice made, every opportunity missed, everything we wish we could change. We can't seem to articulate these feelings. We continue to live in resentment, until the very moment when we start to isolate ourselves.
Underneath the dark night as I lay,
Contemplating life, I sway.
Thoughts stir up, can't convey.
Words get lost in the way.
Emotions felt can't portray.
Tears shed but washed away.
Living in dismay,
As I slowly castaway.
This poem intends to make us understand that the only way we can overcome discontent is by accepting what has been done and trying to improve what lies ahead of us.
