How accurate can Astrology be? – A Glimpse

What can you predict with Astrology? To what extent can it go? If you’ve had questions like this, I have something interesting for you today. Whether you believe in Astrology or not, seeing predictions come true is fascinating.

As fascinating as it may be, we’ve all seen predictions fail too. Which eventually has made us question the science we are discussing today. Does it even work?

In my experience, it does. 100% - No questions asked. It may seem like a bold claim to make for some of you reading this. Some would even say that my brain isn’t functioning very well to believe in something like this. That’s fine. Bear with me for a while.

As I have said before, Astrology is a mixture of Astronomy, Mathematics, and pure observation. This science has an element to it that makes it almost ‘Artistic.’

What does the accuracy of Astrology depend upon?

The accuracy of the horoscope and the predictions based on it will depend entirely on the accuracy of the birth data. The latitude and longitude of the place of birth are just as significant as the ‘second’ you were born for immensely detailed predictions.

The input’s accuracy is essential to get an accurate output, just like any other science. If you don’t put in the right numbers, how can you expect the correct answer?

One of the many reasons why predictions can sometimes fail is the inaccuracy of the details. Any skilled astrologer will first attempt to verify your details, usually by confirming events from the past.

My Jyotish Guru, Shri Deepanshu Giri, lays heavy emphasis on predicting the events of the past first before even attempting to predict the future. If you can’t predict the past, how can you predict the future?

If you do not know your birth time to a considerable accuracy, that is okay. There are various ‘Birth Time Rectification’ techniques that can help correct the timing.

Some errors can also occur due to the process followed by the Astrologer. There is a scope of human error, yes. Astrology, too, requires a lot of practice.

An Example of What’s Possible

As I stated above, I have something interesting for you.

Following is one of the predictions my Guru made and posted on Facebook. Take a look.

Quite astonishing, isn't it?

This was just to show you a glimpse of what's possible when the principles mentioned in the classics are correctly understood and decoded. When a Rishi says in a sutra that when a particular planet is weak, the native will be poor or left alone, it is not be taken literally.

You have to think hard. You have to read between the lines and decode the actual meaning.

After all, when a Rishi writes something, do you really think he'll lower himself to making just one-line statements that make no sense?

I would love to hear your thoughts, questions in the comments below. You can also share your thoughts and tag any of ReHumaniseMe social handles. Links to our social handles and Lunar Astro are given below.
